Projekte

Acrylics on canvas, size is 100x70cm.

Honoring the Nordschleife-record of Stefan Bellof in the Porsche 956 from 1983 which lasted for more than 35 years. The original painting was signed at the inauguration event of the “Stefan Bellof – S” at the Nürburgring in 2013 by father Georg Bellof, Derek Bell, Jochen Mass, H. J. Stuck and mentor and friend R. Braun.

Jim Clark

Acrylics on canvas, size is 120x60cm.

This action-packed painting features Scotland's three most successful racing drivers Sir Jackie Stewart, Jim Clark and Dario Franchitti. Painted with quick and broad brushstrokes, the Scottish flag gives a sense of speed to the drivers shown in the cockpits of their most famous racing cars. The Jim Clark Trust in Scotland has offered a limited number of prints through its website. The original painting is signed by Sir Jackie and Dario. A limited number of art prints in 70x50cm format are still available from me!

Peter Collins

Acrylics on canvas, 100x70cm

To support my dear friend Mark Andrews' crowdfunding campaign to produce a memorial to former British F1 driver Peter Collins, I did an acrylic painting in a sort of Art Deco style. The original painting was gifted to the person who donated the largest amount (£1200) to the fund. In addition, a limited edition of 100 prints were signed by famous people who were connected to Collins in one way or another. These prints were given to each contributor, valued at £100 or more. Two busts were cast: One is on permanent display in the von Trips exhibition at the Nürburgring, the other will be set up at the start line of his home track in Shelsley Walsh. What a fascinating project this was!
The picture shows Peter at the 1958 Monaco GP in the Gasworks hairpin, watched by his wife Louise. In the background are their boat Mipooka and the Monaco harbor.

Emerson Fittipaldi

Acrylics on canvas, size is 100x70cm.

In 2023 I had the honor of creating a painting for Emerson's new home in Italy! There were no guidelines, so I chose a composition of three of his most famous F1 cars, with the Brazilian flag in the background. Rough brush strokes and spatula technique give the picture a lot of energy - just like the man himself! What an experience to be able to visit him in his private home and see his joy!
Painted in the same style as the Scottish racing legends, this painting depicts Emerson in three of its most famous Formula 1 racing cars - the Lotus 72D, the McLaren M23 and the Copersucar F5.

Jo Leberer

Acrylics on Canvas, size is 80x40cm.

Legendary F1 physiotherapist Jo Leberer kindly gave me an interview during the Hockenheim GP in 2020. The painting I did for the occasion was a comic book style scene and showed his physiotherapy rooms with some prominent patients. The Sauber team made a video about it, which was shown on Instagram the next day.

Jackie Stewart

Acrylics on canvas, size is 75x110cm.

The most emotional moment of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2021 was when Sir Jackie stopped in front of Goodwoodhouse in his Matra F1s to present his wife Helen with a red rose: I captured this moment in a large acrylic painting and was therefore invited at the Goodwood Revival that same year to the Drivers' Club to present it to the legend himself - another highlight that is hard to beat!

Sebastian Vettel

Acrylics on canvas, size is 140x50cm.

To celebrate his remarkable career, I created a “comic book style” painting which Sebastian kindly signed in the paddock at Monza 2022. The painting also attracted some attention within the crew, and was featured on Aston Martin's YouTube channel following the Italian GP

Hotel / Museum Meilenstein in Langenthal/CH

Originally only planned for four weeks, many of my original paintings are now permanently located in the Museum / Hotel Meile in Langenthal/CH. It started with the theme “Swiss racing drivers”, but over time it became a little more relaxed and the images now also cover international drivers and cars. They are definitely a wonderful addition to Jo Vonlanthen's great F1 collection - please visit the museum and take a look!
