The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an event, where you will be able to see an abundance of precious machinery each year. You can get close to the heroes of motorsport and even have a chat with them, because there is not the pressure of an ordinary race weekend. Sometimes, there are also heartwarming moments, as the one from 2021, when my hero, Sir Jackie Stewart stopped his championship winning Matra in front of Goodwood House, to give a rose to his wife, Lady Helen, who was waiting for him in a wheelchair – what a gesture!
I captured this moment in a painting and was lucky enough to show it to the man himself during the same years Goodwood Revival.
Jackie is THE ambassador of our sport, and for the art print, I added one of his most impressive quotes to the painting: „Don`t wait for the perfect moment – create it yourself!“
